Queen is a British rock band formed in London in 1970. Made up of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, the band would produce 15 studio albums from 1970 to 1995.

The band have been a global presence in popular culture for more than four decades. Estimates of their record sales often exceed 300 million units, making them the third best-selling band of all time. In 2005 they received the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors.
