On this day in 1975, Queen released the opening track as the second single from "A Night At The Opera" called "Death On Two Legs", which was written by the band's lead singer, Freddie Mercury. On 28 November, which was a week after "A Night At The Opera" was released, Freddie and Brian May were having an argument over whether or not they should release it. Freddie said that they should release it, while Brian had disagreed with him, because of the song's morbid content. On 5 December, five days before the song's single release, Brian had finally agreed that "Death On Two Legs" should be released and five days later, the song was finally released with "Sweet Lady" on the B-side. The song was released worldwide, except for Asia. Today, we are here to celebrate the 48th birthday of "Death On Two Legs" and it's B-side, "Sweet Lady" which were both released on this day in 1975.
